I have two characters....Kelia is on the Republic side and Keket is on the Empire side, so I am not sure which guild/squad to join really. I put my husband's guild as I am unsure of any other ones.


Q: Why do you think Twilight Gamers will be the right community for you?
While I am rather "new" to MMO games, I would prefer to interact and be a part of a group whose core values are similar to my own. The other MMO that I have played frequently, Shaiya, did not have a guild of older individuals like myself, and I found that I spent a lot of time with teenagers/young adults. No offense, but as a former high school teacher, I have spent enough time with teens and would like to interact with adults. I would like to be part of a group who is mature, helpful, and courteous rather than deal with the melodrama of teenage/young adult life. I don't really care what so-and-so said about you, who's "hatin" on who, or name-calling of members/other groups. I am here to have fun and relax.

Q: Tell us a little about yourself? (Gaming interest, hobbies, favorite movies or books, etc?(Provide a detailed response))
I suppose you could call me "new" to the gaming world. My husband (Kaius) introduced me to Shaiya and SWTOR as well as Vampire the Masquerade/LARP which we participated in. We also established the LARP group for the Masquerade in the Charlotte, NC area. I have been an active roleplayer in various chat forums for several years. I grew up with the Star Wars movies thanks to my Dad and have always enjoyed them. I also have a keen interest in various mythologies from ancient Greek to faeries, vampires, and werewolves (I also taught a class on world mythology). My likes in movies and books run along the same lines, though I will pretty much read any kind of fiction and watch almost any kind of film. My heart, however, lies with fantasy through and through. My all-time favorite movies are the Lord of the Ring trilogy, the Star Wars films, and the Narnia films. I am currently reading the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning and the A Song of Fire and Ice Saga by George R.R. Martin (both of which I am absolutely LOVING!).

Q: Tell us about your gaming history and future games you are looking forward to playing?(Provide a detailed response)
As I have mentioned before, the first MMO that I played is the game Shaiya. I played that for about three years and had several characters (most of which reached level 50 or higher).
I have also played the Lord of the Rings MMO for a brief time though I had to quit due to financial difficulties at the time.
Now I am playing SWTOR and have two characters, one Republic and one Empire. Both are currently at levels 8 and 6. Personally I am feeling rather accomplished as I have done this without any assistance from my husband or any one else.

I find that in MMOs my strength seems to lie in characters that are healers or mages. I suppose that comes from the fact that I truly enjoy helping people as well as that I am still learning how to do things. I am not the type to be the tank, but rather to kick your butt from the sidelines while whisking my hands/wand/whatever to heal my groupmates. While I may not be as saavy as other longtime MMO players, I try my best and am eager to learn. Unlike a lot of other people I have met playing these games, I enjoy assisting my friends and guild members to level or to obtain some goal for themselves.

...currently reading the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning....

I love this series. Have you read The Hunger Games? If not, I highly recommend before the movie comes out (just in case they screw up). I'm a huge Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance reader. But I simply love a good, solid story that hooks me from start to finish.
