TG SWTOR - Recruitment Information

Who is Twilight Gamers

-Twi-light (noun): a terminal period, esp. after full development, success, etc.: the twilight of his life.

Twilight Gamers is a North American based gaming community. Our Members are all over eighteen, with most of our members being in their late twenties/early thirties. We are mature gamers who value fair play and treating other players with respect. We enjoy playing video games, and having fun doing so.

Many of our members have Real Life responsibilities, family, work, etc. We pride ourselves on being very accommodating when Real Life throws you a curve ball.

We also have a wide range of players, from casual to hardcore; and everything in between. Crafters, raiders, explorers and more.

Which Faction?

The Fractured Force is a dual-factions guild and as such will have representation on both Empire and Republic factions at game launch. Both faction will be hosted on the same server with strict guidelines in place for those who wish to PvP. Although our members will be required to select a main toon (and thus a main faction), their alts will be able to join any of the two factions.

Activities

PvE Content / Raiding
Our guild will be focused on PvE content. We plan on having regularly scheduled raiding and PvE Events, hoping to conquer as much of the PvE content as possible.

Crafting
A few members mentioned their preference towards crafting. Once some of us can get our hands on the game and get a better appreciation of what crafting entails in SWTOR, our guild will devise a crafting system to support its members.

Casual RP
For those who like to roleplay, our guild has put in place a group or crew system. This enables people to create small groups of up to 4 members that will meet once or twice weekly and progress the story together.

Casual PvP
Of course, members will also be able to PvP. Although definitely not our main focus, we are looking into hosting at least one PvP event a month dubbed "The Fractured War", which will pit both our factions against the other. Outsiders will be welcome to join the melee.

Leadership

Twilight Gamers' (Tg) leadership structure is different then most guilds. We are a gaming community, not just a SWTOR guild. We have members who play other games, such as BF3, WoW and LOTRO.

As one of the Senior Administrators and Co-Owners of Twilight Gamers I will be heavily involved with Star Wars: The Old Republic. Our senior leadership team consist of gamers who have a combined fifteen years plus of leading gaming communities.

We will be looking for players who are helpful, outgoing, and passionate about SWTOR to help in various positions within the guild, including: officer positions, raid leaders, etc.

How to Join

So, interested in joining one faction of our guild? Easy enough, just follow the next couple steps:

1. If not done already, you first need to become a Tg community member. You can find the application process in the Mudroom right HERE.

2. Once you are a Tg community member, go to the SWTOR Guild Joining Request thread found HERE and follow the instructions.

Guild Membership Cap

We want to keep our guild small and close knit. It would be great for everyone to know all the other members of our guild and group with them regularly. With that in mind we are setting a soft limit of 40 members (not characters) per faction. This will mean a total of approximately 80 members will be accepted to The Fractured Force.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have members who are parents?
Yes, quite a few of us are parents.

Do you accept members kids in your divisions?
No. We do have a section dedicated for members' kids though. They are required to be over 13 in order to have access.

How many members do you have?
About 50 active, with 20 to 30 visiting the forums daily. Not all will be playing SWTOR. Right now, there's about 15 of us who will be playing it.

Civil are drunken debaucherie ambiance?
Quite civil actually. Something bothers you in someones behavior, just a quick mention of it and it will stop. You might hear the odd swear once in a while on voice chat (mostly from me) and a member or two might drink a few beers, but it never goes overboard. Respect of others is one of the most important criteria of ours. We do not tolerate flaming posts or comments.

Any females in your ranks?
Yes, quite a few of us are female gamers and yes, even some of us play first person shooters.

Applying through Guild HQ
As it stands, only the leaders of the factions of the guild, Nestaron and Caro, have access to the administration panel. Thus be patient when sending in your application as only they can process them. Member who apply through the Guild HQ will also be required to register and apply on the main Twilight Gamers community site.

Guild HQ forums use
Main discussion forum for our community will remain at the Twilight Gamers site. The Guild HQ public forum will mostly be used to answer questions from the general public and provide a mirror of these updates. The Guild HQ private forum will not be used.

The Fractured Force's Stance on Raiding

As others may have similar questions, here is the reply provided by our "Lord"

While we are promoting ourselves as a casual PvE guild, I do want to have a strong presence in raiding. However, I don't want to have raiding take away from the story or be the only focus of our guild. I think we can strike a balance, where we are able to enjoy raiding and be good at it and still enjoy the story.

Raids will be the only event that we schedule with any regularity, after we reach cap. I want members to generate their own activities versus the officer corp spoon feeding them content. Also I wouldn't anticipate any raiding until two months after launch. A lot of members have expressed an interest in leveling slowly to get the max benefit from the story.

Depending on the number of raids we'll likely raid two nights per week. Without knowing how many raids there are in-game, the number of bosses or the complexity of the raid it is difficult to give exact information at this time.

You can anticipate two days/nights a week when we have the raid on farm status, possibly more when we are learning the raid. I would also anticipate one weeknight start between 9 and 9:30 EST. We'll also probably do a weekend raid either in the afternoon or evening. We'll likely have a poll up at some point to get an idea of what times work for members.
